ALAMEDA – Charles Woodson has been a marvel this season, impressing fans with a bunch of early interceptions. That led to a surge in Pro Bowl voting early on, as fans paid respects to one of the best defensive backs in NFL history.
The 39-year old has played well this season despite a bum shoulder, relegated to ball hawking from the free safety spot. He proved the early-season run wasn’t just a fluke on Sunday, which he stripped Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce and returned it 40 yards to set up a Raiders touchdown.
He had a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in the loss, adding an impressive stat sheet that includes 60 tackles.

Those efforts and his lasting popularity has kept him on top of the Pro Bowl voting at one safety spot.
He has 152,908 votes with a week left for fans to vote. Kam Chancellor is second with 86,870. It is extremely likely he’ll be playing in the league annual all-star showcase.
Fullback Marcel Reece ranks second at his position behind Mike Tolbert.
