SAN DIEGO –- The Raiders’ injury situation was pretty clear heading into Sunday’s road game against the San Diego Chargers.

Defensive tackle Denico Autry was out with concussion-like symptoms. Justin Ellis wasn’t expected to play after missing the practice week with an ankle sprain.

Everybody else was healthy enough to suit up. The end.

The Chargers situation was a bit murkier, and their inactive list made things easier on the Raiders. Star tight end Antonio Gates is inactive with a knee sprain after being deemed questionable on the team’s injury report.

The Chargers have a solid second option with Ladarius Green, a tall target who was productive wihen Gates was suspended earlier this year.

The Chargers will also play without Pro Bowl free safety Eric Weddle, who was ruled out with a groin injury. Running back Melvin Gordon is active after being considered questionable.

The Raiders are going with Taiwan Jones as a returner. He’s active after two games down with a foot injury. They signed Walt Powell off of Buffalo’s practice squad as a return option, but made him inactive for this game.

In addition to the injured players and Powell, the Raiders also deemed receiver Rod Streater, cornerback Dexter McDonald and offensive linemen Jon Feliciano and Matt McCants inactive.
