Raiders to open preseason on MNF against Cowboys

The Raiders have announced their exhibition schedule for 2012.Oakland will play host to the Dallas Cowboys to open the preseason on ESPN's Monday Night Football at 5 on Aug. 13 before playing at Arizona in Week 2, the exact date of which has yet to be announced, though it will be between Aug. 16 and Aug. 20.The Raiders will then play host to Detroit in Week 3, between Aug. 23 and Aug. 26, before closing out the preseason at Seattle in Week 4, on either Aug. 29 or Aug. 30.As announced last summer, the Raiders and 49ers will not meet in an exhibition game this season after fan violence marred last year's game at Candlestick Park. The teams were scheduled to meet this year in Oakland and it appears as though Detroit has taken the 49ers' place on the Raiders' docket. Also, with the date of the Raiders' first exhibition game set, and with teams able to open training camp no more than 15 days before their preseason opener, we can ascertain the Raiders will open camp in Napa on July 29.The regular season schedule will be announced later in the month but the Raiders already know their opponents as they will play host to Denver, San Diego, Kansas City, Cleveland, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay and play road games at Denver, San Diego, Kansas City, Atlanta, Baltimore, Carolina, Cincinnati and Miami.WEEK 1August 13DALLAS5 p.m. PTWEEK 2August 16-20at ArizonaTime TBAWEEK 3August 23-26DETROITTime TBAWEEK 4August 29-30at SeattleTime TBA
