Raiders Thursday A.M. practice notes

ALAMEDA -- Mark Davis was a solitary figure on a side practice field this morning, watching as quarterbacks Carson Palmer, Kyle Boller and Terrelle Pryor worked out under the watchful eye of offensive coordinator Al Saunders.

Meanwhile, CEO Amy Trask was in deep conversation with coach Hue Jackson on the main field as practice got underway.
And when it did, Boller took the first snap with the first-team offense for the second day in a row and Palmer took the second snap. Then, the media window to observe practice closed.
What does it all mean? Not much at this point, though Palmer still looked sharp on his second day of practice, fueling the speculation that he would start under center Sunday against Kansas City before the Raiders enjoy their bye week. Also, injured players Marcel Reece (ankle), Rock Cartwright (calf), Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring) and the IR'd Travis Goethel (knee) were all on a side field working with a trainer.
