ALAMEDA – The Raiders were set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers in primetime at Oakland Coliseum.
This old AFC rivalry, which produced some of the greatest games in NFL history in the 1970s, was in a feature slot under the expectation both teams would be competitive and interesting down the stretch.
The Raiders didn’t hold up their end of the bargain. The Silver and Black have been both bad and offensively boring this season, prompting the league to push the game out of an exclusive window.

The Week 14 contest has been flexed out of primetime, and will now be played at 1:25 p.m PT.
In a cruel twist, that game will now feature the L.A. Rams and the Chicago Bears, and highlight former Raiders edge rusher Khalil Mack.
Flexing that game was expected, especially with the Raiders down on their luck.
The Steelers are playing well and are a popular team nationally, but the Raiders wouldn’t draw many eyeballs performing like they are.

It’s a bummer for Oakland fans, who wanted to see their team showcased on a big stage. The Raiders have one primetime game remaining, a Christmas Eve showdown with the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. That game can not be flexed, and will remain a night game.
