Pierson-El is a smaller wide receiver at 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds. Over eight games, he led the Stallions in receptions (36) and yards (414).

As a senior at Nebraska in 2017, Pierson-El finished the year with 45 receptions for 623 yards and five touchdowns. He also had three punt-return touchdowns as a freshman.
