ALAMEDA -- The Raiders have signed a new No. 3 quarterback. And while the mystery QB's signing has not officially been announced by the team, he was stretching and warming up with the Raiders at the start of Thursday's practice.

The QB is former 49ers starter and UC Davis star J.T. O'Sullivan.

The move appears to signal an end to the season for the injured Bruce Gradkowski, who re-injured his right shoulder on the last offensive play of the Raiders' 33-17 loss to Miami. Gradkowski said Wednesday he did not think the injury was season-ending but it appears differently today.

Gradkowski was at the team's walk-through Thursday morning but was nowhere to be seen at the start of practice.

PREVIEW: Raiders 5-6 vs. San Diego (6-5)

O'Sullivan has been with nine other teams -- New Orleans, Green Bay, Minnesota, New England, Carolina, Detroit, the 49ers, Cincinnati and San Diego -- appearing in games for four -- Packers, Lions, Niners and Bengals.

Jason Campbell is the starting quarterback and Kyle Boller is the backup, presumably.
