Raiders sign all eight picks before first practice

CSNCalifornia.comNAPA -- Hours before taking the field for their first official training camp practice, the Raiders have signed all eight of their draft picks.LSU tackle Joseph Barksdale (third round, No. 92 overall) announced via Twitter Thursday afternoon: "Just signed my contract with the raiders. Excited about the future. Now im headed to camp. justwinbaby"This after the Raiders announced earlier in the day signing six picks: Penn State center Stefen Wisniewski (second round, No. 48 overall), Miami cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke (third round, No. 81 overall), Ohio State cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (fourth round, No. 113 overall), Tennessee receiver Denarius Moore (fifth round, No. 148 overall), and Miami tight end Richard Gordon (sixth round, No. 181 overall).On Wednesday, the Raiders announced the signing of Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones (fourth round, No. 125 overall).The Raiders were preparing for their first training camp practice, at 3:30 p.m. They already had a walk-through this morning.

Also, the Raiders have signed 14 undrafted free agent rookies to start camp: Boston College fullback James McCluskey, SMU cornerback Sterling Moore, Iowa State center Ben Lamaak, Auburn safety, Zac Etheridge, San Jose State quarterback Jordan La Secla, Nebraska-Kearney defensive end Mason Brodine, Penn State linebacker Bani Gbadyu, California (PA) receiver Derrick Jones, North Carolina offensive lineman Alan Pelc, Baylor linebacker Chris Francis, Penn State offensive lineman Lou Eliades, Illinois receiverquarterback Eddie McGee, Ohio receiver Steven Goulet and Clemson defensive tackle Jamie Cumbie.
