The Raiders gave restricted free agent Benson Mayowa an original round contract tender. That might not be enough to keep the defensive end in Oakland.
The fourth-year veteran was in Dallas on Friday and signed an offer sheet with the Cowboys.
Mayowa's reported $9.25 million agreement over three years with Dallas includes a $3.3 million signing bonus and a $700,000 base salary for 2016, a $2.5 million base in 2017 and a $2.75 million base in 2018, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin, who also reports that 2018 is voidable based on sacks and playing time.

The Raiders have five days to match the Cowboys offer and keep Mayowa. If they decline, the Raiders won’t receive compensation for his departure. Mayowa was an undrafted free agent, originally signed by Seattle, meaning the $1.671 million original-round contract tender only provided the chance to match any offer. The Raiders gave a $2.553 million second-round tender to restricted free agents Matt McGloin and Neiko Thorpe.

The Cowboys pursued Mayowa, and got him to Dallas for a physical and formal visit.
Mayowa spent the last two seasons in Oakland, after the Raiders claimed him off waivers after he was part of Seattle’s final cuts in the 2014 preseason.
Mayowa battled a knee sprain earlier in the 2015 season, but played 12 games and had 16 tackles, a forced fumble, a sack and 18 other pressures in 381 defensive snaps.
