ALAMEDA -- Talk of Bruce Gradkowski's season coming to a premature end with a trip to the IR are, well, premature, according to the Raiders quarterback.
An MRI of Gradkowski's injured right shoulder again showed a third-degree separation but he does not believe he'll require season-ending surgery.

"The MRI wasn't any different than after the Chargers game the first time; it's still a third-degree separation. That's what it's been all year," Gradkowski said Wednesday morning. "Just been trying to get it all the way right, let it heal all the way."
Gradkowski was injured on the Raiders' final offensive play of Sunday's 33-17 loss to Miami when he was sandwiched by numerous Dolphins defenders attempting a shovel pass.

He was initially sidelined on Oct. 10 against San Diego and sat out five games before coach Tom Cable re-installed him as the starting quarterback this past week.
The other day, just kind of re-aggravated it, Gradkowski said. Especially re-aggravated all the tissue around it. That's kind of what the main thing is now.
A lot of third-degrees need surgery but it seems like my shoulder's still strong to where if I just let it heal right, I'll be all right, he added. But I think, just a couple of weeks, for sure, I'll be out. And other than that, I don't count the season out yet.
With Gradkowski out, the starting QB job presumably falls back to Jason Campbell.
