Raiders QB Derek Carr throws two first-half TD passes after wild week

With assurances that he'll be the Raiders' quarterback for the foreseeable future, Derek Carr went out Sunday and played a solid first half against the Colts.

With the Raiders down 10-0 early in the second quarter, Carr found a wide-open Seth Roberts in stride for a 31-yard touchdown pass.

About six minutes later, Carr found tight end Jared Cook for a 25-yard TD pass that gave the Raiders a 14-10 lead.

Carr completed 9 of 12 passes in the first half for 119 yards and those two touchdowns.

With Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper shipped out by new Raiders coach Jon Gruden, rumors had swirled that Carr would be the next big name to go. But ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday that the Raiders have asssured Carr he won't be dealt ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
