Raiders injury report: Ellis, Autry back to full practice

ALAMEDA -– The Raiders were light along the defensive line during Sunday’s victory over the San Diego Chargers.

This week, the Raiders received some reinforcements. Denico Autry (concussion) and Justin Ellis (ankle) missed the Chargers game but, barring a setback, both guys should be back in the rotation.

There is, however, reason to be cautious with these two. Both guys have suffered setbacks that have prolonged their absence.

Autry returned to practice last Wednesday, but was put back on the shelf after experiencing more concussion-like symptoms. Ellis sprained an ankle in the season opener, missed two games recovering, played the Chicago Bears in Week 4 and then missed two more contests and a bye week after suffering a setback in practice.

The Raiders will proceed with caution, knowing they’ll need both defensive linemen against running back Chris Ivory and a Jets rushing attack ranked third in the NFL.

The Raiders are relatively healthy outside that. Beyond a knee sprain to Neiron Ball that could keep him out a month, the Raiders emerged from the Chargers game relatively healthy.

Safety TJ Carrie was limited with a shoulder issue and cornerback Keith McGill was limited with a foot.

As usual, safety Charles Woodson took Wednesday’s padded practice off to rest a shoulder.

Also, Tevin McDonald was signed to the practice squad after being waived off the 53-man roster Saturday. Linebacker Korey Toomer was also added to the practice squad while safety Keenan Lambert was moved to the practice-squad injured list.

The official injury report for both teams comes out on Friday.
