ALAMEDA -– The Raiders injury list remains long, but received a veteran jolt on Thursday afternoon.
Receiver Michael Crabtree returned to work during the un-padded practice, and expected occurrence after he skipped Wednesday’s work with an ankle injury.
Crabtree got hurt during a “scary” turn of the ankle during Sunday’s game, but returned quickly and led the team with five catches for 80 yards.

The Raiders need him active and productive, so a quick return is positive for an offense that must produce against a talented Denver secondary on Sunday at O.co Coliseum.

The Raiders also saw defensive end Justin Tuck and safety Charles Woodson get back to work on Thursday after a day off, as per their weekly practice routine.
A setback showed up on the injury report, as defensive tackle Justin Ellis was held out of Thursday’s action with an ankle injury. He was limited the day before, emerging from his first game back after spraining an ankle in Week 1.

C.J. Wilson, re-signed as Ellis’ injury replacement, was a full participant after missing Wednesday work (and Sunday’s game) with a calf strain
NOTES
-- Defensive back TJ Carrie remains out with a chest injury, making it increasingly likely he doesn’t play against the Broncos. He did stretch with the team and has good range of motion on his left side, but didn’t participate in any team or individual drill.
-- Defensive tackle Justin Ellis was out of Thursday's practice with an ankle injury that has bothered him since the season opener but allowed him in play in Week 4. It would be a real setback if Ellis can't go. He makes their interior run defense significantly better when he's healthy and active.
-- Running back Taiwan Jones (foot) missed yet another practice, leaving others to work on returns. He returns kicks, while Carries typically returns punts. The Raiders had Amari Cooper, Seth Roberts and Roy Helu working on return drills early in the practice session.
-- Defensive tackle Denico Autry remains out with a concussion. He still hasn’t been cleared to practice or play.
-- Running back Latavius Murray was limited for a second straight day with a shoulder injury. He hopes to be physically ready to redeem himself after a disappointing showing against Chicago.
“I know he’s working real hard to get through this week and back to being healthy and back to his standard of performance,” offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave said.
