Raiders-Chiefs injury report: Derek Carr full-go in practice

ALAMEDA – Raiders quarterback Derek Carr hurt his ankle near the end of Sunday’s loss in Baltimore, re-entered the fray and then got sacked three straight times.

He finished the game and knew he’d play next week against Kansas City, but wasn’t sure how much the ankle would be managed during the practice week.

Not much at all, it turns out. Carr was a full participant in Wednesdays practice. That means, as expected, he’ll be able to prep for the Chiefs without impairment.

Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst joined the injury list, missing Wednesday work with an ankle injury. The ailment’s severity is unknown at this time, though missing him for any stretch would be a huge blow to the defensive line.

Receiver Martavis Bryant remains sidelined after missing the past two games with a knee injury.

Right tackle Donald Penn has been rehabbing hard at the facility recently, and did some on-field work on the side while his teammates practiced. Penn remains on injured reserve, where he has been since Oct. 3.

Receiver/defensive back Johnny Holton and linebacker James Cowser were re-signed to the practice squad.
