Raiders-Browns injury report: Bruce Irvin, Nick Nelson full-go

ALAMEDA -- Raiders edge rusher Bruce Irvin took it slow to start practice. A knee injury limited him Wednesday, but it apparently didn’t impact him beyond that.

He was a full participant in Thursday’s padded practice, an important prep day heading toward Sunday’s home game against the Cleveland Browns.

The Raiders need Irvin at full strength to improve a pass rush that has been lackluster through the first three games.

Rookie cornerback Nick Nelson was upgraded to full participation, though he has been inactive each week regardless of injury status.

Karl Joseph (hamstring) missed another practice and is expected to miss the Browns game.
