The Raiders have announced the signing of free agent cornerback Pat Lee, who spent the past four years in Green Bay.Reports first surfaced last week that Lee had agreed to join the Raiders, though general manager Reggie McKenzie had said they were negotiating a contract."Pat is a talented player who we are happy to add to our defensive backfield group," McKenzie, who is familiar with Lee from his time with the Packers, said in a statement.The 5-feet-11, 194-pound Lee was a second-round draft pick (No. 60 overall) of the Packers in 2008 out of Auburn. He has played in 32 games in his career, with one start, and tied for the Packers team lead with 12 special teams tackles in 2011. He has also returned 14 kickoffs for 264 yards in his career."I think he provides a lot of depth at the corner position," Raiders coach Dennis Allen said earlier Tuesday at the NFL meetings in Florida. "Hes kind of been a backup, special-teams-type player there in Green Bay, and Im looking forward to getting him in and giving him an opportunity to compete. Well see where hes at."Lee, 28, is the fourth free agent from outside of Oakland to sign with the Raiders since free agency began, the third cornerback. And while Lee's contract status is not yet known, the Raiders had less than 3.72 million in cap space before signing him.
