Kaepernick, at first glance, appears to be a fit in Kelly's fast-paced, quick hitting offense that simplifies the reads of the passer and uses scheme to place stress on defenses. Kaepernick as a quarterback is an athletic phenom that posted groundbreaking numbers from the position in the 2012 playoffs, and was a solid starter for two NFL seasons from 2012-13.

Over eight starts in 2015, however, Kaeperinick rgeressed, tossing six touchdowns and five interceptions, while winning just one of his games.
Gabbert entered the fray midseason, also starting eight games, and went 3-5, while throwing 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
It's clear Kelly will have options, with the two quarterbacks that started last year, as well as free agency and the 2016 draft.
