Adding Brady is the splashy move coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock were hoping to make as the Raiders open its first season in Las Vegas.

Brady's decision to join the Raiders ends months of speculation about his future. After guiding the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles, the 42-year-old will tackle a new challenge.

Seeing Brady in Silver and Black will be strange considering he was at the center of one of the most controversial moments in Raiders history.

With the Raiders leading the Patriots late in the 2002 AFC divisional-round playoff game, Charles Woodson appeared to force Brady to fumble, which the Raiders recovered. But the refs reviewed the play and ruled it as an incomplete pass. The Patriots would tie the game and win it in overtime.

Now, Woodson will have to root for Brady.

Brady's addition means Derek Carr's time is up with the team he grew up rooting for.
