Kyle Shanahan is finally taking some time off. And by finally, we mean for the first time in nearly four months.
The 49ers head coach will take his time choosing his starting quarterback between Nick Mullens and C.J. Beathard with the team not playing again until Monday, Nov. 11. After Mullens' record-breaking debut in the 49ers' 34-3 win over the Raiders, it would be a shock if the job went back to Beathard.

According to Ian Rapoport, the 49ers are expected to name Mullens the team's starting quarterback for their next game when they take on the Giants.
Mullens completed 16 of his 22 pass attempts for 262 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
"The players got four days off. I don’t need to decide yet, so I’m taking my time with it," Shanahan said on Friday. "Also, I wouldn’t want to do that with all the guys out of the building. I’d like the whole team in here, too, when I decide that.”
