A former longtime NFL general manager who hasn't worked in a year doesn't even want to interview for the vacant Raiders job.
Jerry Reese, who was GM of the New York Giants from 2007 through 2017, declined to interview with the Raiders, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday.

According to Schefter, prospective candidates believe "the job will not carry the type of autonomy that many GM jobs do."
So the Raiders' search for a new GM might be tougher than they first imagined.

The Raiders are seeking a new executive after GM Reggie McKenzie was fired on Dec. 10, one day after a stunning overtime win over the Steelers.
