While former superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown is off the field, he and his legal team have turned their attention to the courts and his bank account.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning that Brown has filed grievances seeking roughly $40 million from the Raiders and Patriots in unpaid salary, fines and voided guarantees. According to Rapoport, Brown faces an uphill battle and will likely won't have his appeal heard until the spring.
In the report, Brown is looking for over $31 million from the Raiders. He's challenging roughly $215,000 in fines from Oakland, a week's worth of salary -- worth $860,294 -- when he requested to be released from the team, his $29 million guarantees for the 2019 and 2020 seasons, plus his $1 million signing bonus that was split into two workout bonuses.

Brown was released by the Raiders one day before the 2019 regular-season opener, and agreed to a contract with the Patriots later that day. He couldn't even last in New England for two weeks, and was released by the reigning champs after 11 days.
Brown was named in a sexual assault lawsuit shortly after signing with the Patriots, but remained with the team. The final straw for New England came when Brown sent menacing text messages to a woman who told Sports Illustrated that Brown made unwanted sexual advances toward her while he was in Pittsburgh. He did so as a member of the Patriots, and owner Robert Kraft wouldn't allow Brown to be a member of his team.
