The 49ers selected wide receiver Dante Pettis in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and the team could be looking at another target for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in Round 2 yet again this year.
With the draft just over two weeks away, the 49ers, and every other NFL team, are locking in on certain prospects. General manager John Lynch and Co. reportedly have their eyes on two wide receivers.
“I will say, man, sometimes I don’t tell you guys everything I hear because I’ve got to keep some stuff back to myself,” Bleacher Report's Matt Miller said on the Stick To Football podcast. “I’ve heard if N’Keal Harry’s gone, Deebo's [Samuel] their guy at 36.”

The 49ers have already met with both prospects before the draft, The Athletic's Matt Barrows reported late last month.
Harry starred for three seasons at Arizona State University. This past season, he hauled in 73 receptions for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns. The last two years combined, he had 155 receptions in 25 games for 2,230 yards and 17 receiving touchdowns.
At 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds, Harry opened some eyes at the NFL Scouting Combine. He ran a 4.53 40-yard dash, put up 27 reps on the bench press, and leaped 38.5 inches in the vertical jump.
Samuel is a different type of pass-catching option. He stands 5-11, 214 pounds and ran a 4.48 at the combine. As a senior, he had 11 touchdowns on 62 receptions for 882 yards at South Carolina.
The 49ers have experience with Samuel, too. Kyle Shanahan and his staff worked with Samuel at the Senior Bowl and he stood out for his week of practice.
Though he's under 6-foot, Samuel is a weapon in the red zone with his advanced footwork.
