DeForest Buckner might have been the first domino to fall. After being minutes away from winning Super Bowl LIV, are the 49ers going to shake up their roster even more this offseason?
It appears that could be the case, days before the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Athletic's Michael Lombardi reported the 49ers have made Dee Ford, Kwon Alexander, Marquise Goodwin and Jaquiski Tartt available to be traded, in order to clear up salary-cap space. According to Spotrac, the 49ers only have $11.8 million in salary-cap space, which ranks 20th in the NFL.

Goodwin has been rumored to be on the trade block for months now, but the three defensive stalwarts come as a bit of a surprise.
The 49ers acquired Ford in March 2019 by trading their 2020 second-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs. San Francisco then immediately signed Ford to a new five-year, $87.5 million contract extension. He was hampered by injuries last season and recorded 6.5 sacks in 11 regular-season games.
Alexander was an emotional leader for the 49ers and fit Robert Saleh's defense perfectly. He recorded 34 tackles, one interception and four passes defensed in eight games before tearing his pectoral. But the linebacker made a surprising comeback in the postseason, playing in a reduced role.

The 49ers signed Alexander to a four-year, $54 million contract before last season.
Tartt missed four regular-season games to injury but proved to be a valuable, physical presence when on the field.

One thing was made clear by the 49ers trading Buckner: Everyone is available at the right price. They received the No. 13 pick from the Indianapolis Colts for the star defensive lineman.
