There's fast, and then there's Henry Ruggs fast. It's easy to imagine Kyle Shanahan and Jon Gruden dreaming of adding Ruggs to their respective offenses, and the Alabama receiver confirmed the two coaches are doing exactly that.
Ruggs listed the 49ers and Raiders as two of three who teams that have "constantly" called him before the 2020 NFL Draft, which begins Thursday night.
"It's been a couple teams constantly," Ruggs told Mike Florio on the "PFTPM Podcast." "I'd say probably between Vegas, Denver and San Francisco."

Ruggs also listed the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions as two other teams he has spoken with a lot.
With the Raiders and 49ers selecting one pick apart at Nos. 12 and 13, perhaps they could be vying for the same offensive weapon. This same scenario happened in 2017 when the 49ers took offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey with the No. 9 pick, one spot ahead of the Raiders.
But the Silver and Black could flip the script this time around.
Ruggs ran the fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine with a time of 4.27. He's a touchdown waiting to happen. Of the 98 passes he caught at Alabama, 24 went for touchdowns.
This is the kind of athleticism he displayed in high school basketball, too.

The 49ers selected Ruggs in Matt Maiocco's 49ers mock draft without trades. But the New York Jets, who hold the No. 11 pick, reportedly "love" Ruggs and they snatch him in Dalton Johnson and Josh Schrock's latest mock draft.

With the draft only one day away, Ruggs is expected to hear his name called early. The former Alabama star's new home easily could be Santa Clara or Sin City.
