Steelers safety Ryan Mundy is paying for the vicious hit he laid on Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey on Sunday.
Mundy has been fined 21,000 for the hit, ESPN reports.
The collision between the crown of Mundys helmet and Heyward-Beys chin was violent, and it left Heyward-Bey motionless on the ground for several minutes. He eventually moved his arm to wave to the fans as he was stretchered off the field, the first sign that he would be OK.
