Mike Florio picks 49ers to win Super Bowl after ‘self-urination' remark

There was no self-urination to be found Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, at least not for anyone wearing a 49ers uniform.

Leading up to the NFC Championship Game between the 49ers and Green Bay Packers, NBC Sports NFL analyst Mike Florio was steadfast in his choice to pick the Green and Gold, citing San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s inexperience in the postseason.

"If it's close into the third quarter, midway through the third quarter,” Florio said on the Chris Simms Unbuttoned podcast. “The 49ers are going to start to freak out because it's not 37-8 this time around.

"And then it comes down to Jimmy Garoppolo pissing down his leg. And between the two guys, Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo, Garoppolo far more likely to self-urinate himself than Aaron Rodgers."

He even doubled down on his prediction after the Packers cut the lead to 14 in the fourth quarter.

While Garoppolo didn’t exactly light up the Packers through the air, the 49ers rolled over Green Bay behind 220 yards rushing from Raheem Mostert en route to a 37-20 victory.

Florio not only thought the 49ers would lose Sunday’s game vs. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, he also put his name behind the Minnesota Vikings taking down San Francisco in the divisional round.

It appears that the NFC title game beatdown finally changed Florio’s tune, as he released his Super Bowl pick early.

The 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2 in Miami. We'll see if Florio sticks to his guns before that one.
