Reggie McKenzie came to Oakland with a glowing recommendation from Green Bay as an astute talent evaluator, and that definition has not dimmed for the Raiders' new general manager.Packers general manager Ted Thompson showered his former charge with praise at the NFL Combine this morning in quotes supplied by CSNBayArea.com 49ers Insider Matt Maiocco, who is in Indianapolis."I think they got a gem," Thompson said of the Raiders and McKenzie. "Reggie and I are really good friends, so I'm very biased in my answer here, but he is a really good man. And the people there in that building, in that organization, are going to appreciate the fact that he is a really good guy."Again, he is part of that group of people that I was referring to that we have always patterned what we do after the training we received from Ron Wolf. And I think that combination, plus the fact that Ron has a history with the Oakland Raiders and that sort of thing, I think that's the way he'll go about it. And he'll do a good job."Wolf and John Madden, you'll recall, recommended McKenzie to owner Mark Davis.
