Two weeks before the draft, the Rams sent a package of six draft picks to the Titans in order to move up to the top overall spot.
But In the weeks leading up to the draft, the Rams didn't tip their hand: would they take Goff or North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz?

After the draft, Goff said he had a feeling.
"I kind of had an idea," Goff acknowledged in a phone interview with The Associated Press. "It was a good feeling."
"We've probably known for a little while," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said shortly after drafting Goff. "We've spent a lot of time, and we feel like Jared is our guy. This is a big deal for this franchise."
What did the Rams see in Goff?
"We just feel Jared has the skill set to be a difference-maker at the position, from arm strength to mobility to all those qualities," Fisher said.
Not only does Goff have the pressure of being the No. 1 overall pick, he is now the quarterback for a team that just relocated to Los Angeles.
Prior to the draft, former NFL head coach and quarterback guru Jon Gruden was asked about Goff's ability to handle pressure and he gave a glowing review.
"In terms of Jared Goff, I don't know how you deal with pressure until you go out and prove it," Gruden said according to CSNPhilly.com. "Some people feel pressure, some people don't. But I just thought Goff came across as an iceman. A guy that didn't feel any pressure, he applied pressure. Nothing bothered him."
