CSNBayArea.comLONDON -- Two folks in Bay Area TV had grand plans for 1 a.m. Thursday. They figured they could watch Game 1 of the World Series at a Londonbar and have some good clean fun while concealed in anonymity. After all, who would recognize them so far away from home? Right?

Well, their scheme fell apart in a hurry. Within seconds of theirarrival other patrons at the establishment began shouting their names.(And, if you're wondering, I'm merely an observer in this story.)It turns out this London bar could've been in San Mateo or Fremont orany other Bay Area community. There were at least 100 individuals fromthe Bay Area on hand to watch the Giants' 11-7 victory over the TexasRangers. All of the Giants fans at the bar -- and there were more than 100 of us-- made the trek to London for the 49ers' game Sunday against theDenver Broncos.I got back to my room at around 5 a.m. Then, I had a 9 a.m. wakeup callto head out to the countryside, where the 49ers are practicing. Now, ifyou don't mind I'm going to take a nap.I have to be rested and ready for Game 2.By the way, if you're wondering the identity of the two Bay Area TVfolks . . . you might want to see if you can find them in the video Itook while at the Sports Cafe on Haymarket Street.
