Jerick McKinnon was every 49ers fan on Jimmy Garoppolo's run, injury

Jerick McKinnon just wanted to watch his 49ers play Sunday. He had no clue he was about to ride a roller-coaster of emotions.

The running back, who’s sidelined for the season with a torn right ACL, joined the in-game conversation with tweets praising Kyle Juszczyk, Matt Breida and George Kittle for their play as the 49ers rallied against the Chiefs.

Then, when quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo run out of the pocket in the fourth quarter and challenged a Chiefs defender near the sideline, McKinnon was hyped.

Garoppolo might have been afraid of contact, but he tore his left ACL on the play. And as news of the injury hit Twitter, McKinnon’s mood changed.

Safe to say McKinnon was every 49ers fan Sunday.
