Raiders placekicker Sebastian Janikowski has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after tying an NFL-record by kicking three field goals of 50 yards or more against Houston in Week 5.
The 33-year-old 12-year veteran from Poland was also awarded the same honor in Week 1 after he tied the record for the longest field goal in NFL history, a 63-yarder on opening night in the Raiders' 23-20 win over Denver.
Janikowski kicked four field goals total in Week 5 against the Texans, including three from 54, 55 and 50 yards out. The Raiders held on to win the game 25-20.
For 2011, the big left-footer is 11 for 12 on field goal attempts and a perfect 13 for 13 in extra points.
Janikowski was also the special Teams Player of the Month for September.
He is the Raiders all-time leading scorer with 1,188 career points.
