ALAMEDA – The Raiders promoted returner Jeremy Ross from the practice squad on Wednesday. Looks like they’re going to need him.
Taiwan Jones missed his second straight practice on Wednesday, nursing a knee injury suffered in the Raiders’ latest loss. The running back and kickoff returner got hurt trying to gain yards after recovering his own fumble against Detroit.
He didn’t return in that game, and Seth Roberts averaged 23.5 yards on two kickoff returns in his stead.

Ross should be the primary return option for Sunday’s game at Tennessee if Jones remains out.
He isn’t the only one in danger of missing that game.
Center Rodney Hudson was missing in action again, making it increasingly unlikely he’ll be able to play after aggravating his sprained right ankle against the Lions.
