Injury report: Jones limited in return to Raiders practice

ALAMEDA –- Raiders running back and kickoff returner Taiwan Jones practiced Wednesday for the first time since suffering a knee sprain Nov. 22 against the Detroit Lions.

The speedster was limited in his return to work, though his presence for a padded practice suggests he could be on track to play Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Whether he returns kicks when healthy remains uncertain.

Other injured Raiders continue to miss time. That includes center Rodney Hudson, who skipped two of the past three games with a right ankle sprain. He returned against the Lions, but aggravated the injury in that contest.

One report suggested he could return in time for Thursday’s practice.

Cornerback Keith McGill and linebacker Neiron Ball remain out with injury, and Charles Woodson took his customary day off resting his shoulder.

Chiefs edge rusher Justin Houston missed work with a hyperextended knee. Head coach Andy Reid said his star player has made solid improvements since getting hurt on Sunday.
