SANTA CLARA -- Running back Carlos Hyde on Friday was officially ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons with a stress fracture, and it is doubtful wide receiver Anquan Boldin will suit up, either.
Boldin is expected to miss his second game with a hamstring injury. It will likely be the second game in a row that neither the 49ers’ top running threat or receiving threat is active for the game.
Running back Mike Davis (hand) and special-teamer L.J. McCray (knee), who underwent surgeries on Tuesday, were also ruled out of Sunday’s game, the 49ers announced.

Cornerback Kenneth Acker is listed as questionable, but he has yet to enter the football activity phase of the NFL’s protocol on concussions. If Acker is unavailable, Dontae Johnson appears in line to get his first start of the season.
