SANTA CLARA -- Just a few months ago, 49ers veteran cornerback Richard Sherman spoke about how he would withhold judgement of rookie edge rusher Nick Bosa after his questionable social media history was unearthed.
Now, after the rookie’s breakout game Monday night, Sherman lauded Bosa's locker-room presence.
“Bosa’s been outstanding,” Sherman said Wednesday.”He’s been a great teammate. He’s obviously an incredible talent. I think a lot of people had it wrong with what they were trying to say during the draft like, ‘Oh, my God, that tweet when he was 11,’ or whenever he said that. It’s like, ‘Oh, my God, he’s a bad guy.’

“This is one of the best teammates you could ask for, and he’s been that way since Day 1.”
What Bosa has been able to accomplish in his first four games likely would overshadow any potential issues with his teammates. But, it seems the rookie has seamlessly fit into the 49ers locker room.

Bosa's talent has impressed Sherman in their short time together. In particular, Sherman sees Bosa's speed as the biggest boost to the 49ers' defensive line.

“He’s a monster," Sherman said. "I’m sure he’s leading in just about every category in terms of pass rush productivity. He’s getting there. He’s just dominant and he’s trustworthy. He’s reliable. He’s everything we could have hoped he would be when they drafted him.”
Shortly after Bosa was drafted, Sherman noted that many won't care what players say as long as they contribute on the field. He and the 49ers haven't had to worry about Bosa in either facet.
