Jim Harbaugh is back at the University of Michigan and "happy as a pig in slop" to be working with the talented youth around the nation.
The former NFL quarterback and coach is particularly excited to be doing hands-on work with quarterbacks at his Wolverines' elite QB camp.
And Harbaugh is applying the methods of one of his mentors, former 49ers head coach Bill Walsh.

"Yea, I do (love running satellite camps)," Harbaugh told Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated's MMQB. "Before Bill Walsh passed away, I asked him, 'What do you look for in a quarterback?' He said 'athletic instincts.' That's always stuck with me."

"That he's the best athlete in his high school. A lot of these youngsters don't do multiple sports as much as they used to," Harbaugh added. "But it's a way to test their athletic instincts, in the name of Bill Walsh."
Walsh certainly left his mark on the NFL with the quarterback position, developing Joe Montana after selecting the Notre Dame passer in the third round of the 1979 NFL Draft.

Montana went on to become a two-time NFL MVP and four-time Super Bowl champion. The 49ers all-time leading passer is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time.
Walsh also traded for then Bucaneers backup quarterback Steve Young, who evolved into a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time NFL MVP. Young also started and won a Super Bowl of his own in 1994.
Harbaugh as an NFL coach selected Nevada-Reno product Colin Kaepernick in the second round of his first draft. He also resurrected the career of former No. 1 overall pick Alex Smith, while grooming Kaepernick into a starter.
Harbaugh is again in the NCAA ranks, working with a younger generation of passers.
"We like to feel like we're the 33rd NFL team," Harbaugh said.
"Hopefully it's 15, 20 things that they take away from this camp that they can apply this summer. And then I would also say coming away a more confident quarterback. Jay Cutler's patting you on the back, saying, 'Hey kid,' that's going to do a lot for your confidence."
