The Rams added a franchise running back in Todd Gurley in the 2015 NFL Draft.

In 2016, that workhorse back believes he's found his battery mate and franchise passer in No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff.

Gurley, who busted out for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games as a rookie, endorsed the Cal product Friday.

"Great kid. Couldn't ask for a better QB," Gurley said on NFL Network. "We are just excited to have him.

"He's definitely learning," the 2015 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year said. "He's getting better. Just excited to play the upcoming season with him."

Goff, a first-team All-Pac-12 player who set 26 Cal records, joins an offense that features Gurley, and another former first-round pick in wide receiver Tavon Austin.
