Ford injures foot in S.D., on crutches afterward

SAN DIEGO -- Raiders receiver Jacoby Ford suffered a sprained left foot Thursday night against the Chargers, and did not return
Ford, who also returns kicks, was injured after catching a long pass from Carson Palmer, trying to spin away from the tackle. Palmer's toss on the 41-yard pickup was actually underthrown a tad, and forced Ford to slow up.

He was helped off the field but carted into the locker room, where X-rays were taken and came back negative.He was back on the sidelines in the third quarter, supporting himself with a set of crutches. Afterward he was wearing a walking cast and moving on crutches.
Ford finished the night with 41 yards on one reception and a kickoff return for 19 yards.
