Frank Gore is signing for a 16th NFL season.
The NFL’s No. 3 all-time leading rusher is teaming up again with Adam Gase, this time with the New York Jets on a one-year contract, agent Drew Rosenhaus told reporters from ESPN and NFL Network.
Gore has agreed to play for his fifth different team, including his third with Gase as a coach.

Gase first coached Gore as an offensive assistant in 2008 with the 49ers. Gore played his first 10 NFL seasons with the 49ers and is the franchise’s all-time leading rusher.
Gore rejoined Gase in 2018, where Gase was head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Gase enters his second season as Jets head coach.

Gore, who turns 37 on May 14, ranks third on the all-time NFL rushing list with 15,347 yards. He ranks behind only Emmitt Smith (18,355) and Walter Payton (16,726).

Last season, Gore rushed for 599 yards and two touchdowns on 166 rushing attempts while appearing in 16 games (eight starts) with the Buffalo Bills.
