Emmanuel Sanders shows love to 49ers Faithful after Panthers beatdown

Emmanuel Sanders enjoyed his Bay Area debut.

The veteran wide receiver was traded to the 49ers from the Broncos last Tuesday, and he made an immediate impact Sunday at Levi's Stadium. Sanders caught four passes for 25 yards, including a 4-yard touchdown pass to cap the 49ers' opening drive, setting the tone for the 51-13 shredding of the Panthers.

Going from a 2-6 team to the undefeated Niners was a stroke of good fortune for Sanders, who feels blessed to be a part of one of two remaining undefeated teams in the NFL. The 49ers Faithful were ecstatic to bring Sanders into the fold, believing the acquisition will open the passing attack by giving quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo a true No. 1 receiver.

After the 49ers dump trucked the Panthers to move to 7-0, Sanders sent out a tweet showing his love for The Faithful.

The feeling likely is mutual.

Sanders will be even more involved in the offense going forward, but don't expect the 49ers to change their game plan because No. 17 showed up. Head coach Kyle Shanahan's club still is going to run, run, run until opposing defenses force them to alter their plan.

It's worked for seven straight games, no need to fix what isn't broke.
