
Trending upward, the Raiders are out to recapture the AFC West in 2016.
And the players on the team have no shortage of confidence in one another, starting with the two leaders on offense and defense.
"I think (Khalil Mack) is going to sack the quarterback 30 times," quarterback Derek Carr said last week on Adam Schein's SiriusXM Radio show, 'Schein on Sports.'

"Watch the tape. He's held every play," he added. "He's like nobody else in the league. He's talented."
The NFL single-season sack record is 22.5 set by former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan in 2001.
From his rookie year to sophomore campaign, Mack's sack total jumped from 4.0 in 2014 to 15.0 in 2015. He finished second in the league behind NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt.

Mack had a career-best 5.0 sacks in a Week 13 game in Denver.
The third-year pass rusher will also no longer be the primary focus for offensive lines, as the Raiders added Bruce Irvin, Shilique Calhoun and Jihad Ward this offseason. The team re-signed Aldon Smith as well.
Mack in addition is confident in the direction of Oakland's defense.
When asked about the Super Bowl-winning Broncos defense, the linebacker told Yahoo! Sports' Shutdown Corner, "We can be that good.
"If you look at that Broncos defense, they’re one of the best defenses in NFL history last year," the All-Pro said. "They did a lot to make the quarterback uncomfortable. We can do those types of things and still put our own little twist on it."
