Campbell has ‘smooth' surgery on fractured clavicle

Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell is out of surgery on his fractured right clavicle and his doctor told Campbell's fiance that the procedure went 'smooth' and that his recovery should be 'just fine.'

Campbell decided surgery was the best route for the injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Browns. Although disappointed, the Raiders' starting quarterback remained optimistic Monday at the team's facility, hoping he'd be able to return in 6 weeks. I exchanged texts with Campbell and his family Monday afternoon as he prepped for the procedure and, at 8:30 pm, found out from his fiance that Campbell's out of surgery and that the 'Doctor said everything went smooth! And he should recover just fine.'She also added that after not eating since 9:30 this morning, the first thing Jason asked for was a double cheese burger. Guessing he's hungry for a speedy recovery, too.
