Michael Bush signed with the Bears after four seasons in Oakland, where he gained 2,642 yards (4.2 yards per carry) and scored 21 touchdowns. The Chicago Tribune reported Bush's deal was worth 14 million, with 7 million guaranteed. Thursday he spoke to the media on a conference call. Here are some excerpts of his comments:CSNChicago.com: Forte unhappy with Bears signing BushHis introduction to the Bears:
"Meeting coach Smith and the organization and the other coaches, I think it was a great opportunity for me, getting a feel for those guys. I'm happy that I'm able to work with them as well. What you see on paper with the signing of Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler and having (Matt) Forte on the roster as well, the team is just going to get better with adding myself. We can make a nice playoff run."The response of Forte:
"It's just one of those things where you want to be rewarded for your success. I understand, but that has nothing to do with me. My job is to come here and play ball. If he wants to hold out, I know what he's going through. I'm just going to be there doing what I'm supposed to do."His Raiders history:
"I've been in this role for a while now -- basically, just one of those guys that in the past have proven, and just being patient, and waiting for my turn to play." The Chicago offense:
"I think there are enough carries to go around.I don't know all the ins and outs but we have guys to throw the ball to as well. I'm not stuck on how many carries I get. I just want to get out there and help the team."Outlook for 2012:
"I'm ready to come in and help right off the bat. I feel like in the past I've been waiting, and waiting for my turn to get enough carries to help the team and what I was told was that the rotation will be very good, he just wants both of us to make a lot of plays and just contribute and help the team."Negotiations with Raiders:
"I haven't heard too much from them.I'm not upset with them."
