
The Cleveland Browns on Friday waived quarterback Johnny Manziel.
The Browns are currently in talks with the San Francisco 49ers regarding a potential trade for quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick reportedly wants to play for the Browns, saying that he "respects (head coach) Hue Jackson."

Manziel has a 2-6 career record in the NFL and seven touchdowns to seven interceptions. He also has one rushing touchdown.
The 23-year-old was selected 22nd overall in the 2014 NFL Draft after he became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.
The Browns have three quarterbacks remaining on their roster: Josh McCown, Austin Davis and Connor Shaw.
