Cleveland will start Johnny Manziel at quarterback against San Francisco, according to multiple national reports.
Manziel opened the season as the backup to Josh McCown, but started in Week 2 against Tennessee after McCown sustained a concussion in the opener against the Jets.
Despite beating the Titans, Manziel returned to his backup role for the next six games.
But when McCown sustained an injury during a loss to the Cardinals in Week 8, Manziel started the next two games against the Bengals and Steelers.

Browns head coach Mike Pettine then named Manziel the starter for the remainder of the season, but after video surfaced of Manziel partying during the team's bye week, Pettine elected to bench "Johnny Football" against the Ravens on Nov. 30.
When McCown went down again, Austin Davis took over against Baltimore and started over Manziel on Sunday against the Bengals.
The Browns lost 37-3.
On the season, Manziel has completed 76-of-128 passes (59.4 percent) for 933 yards, with five touchdowns and two interceptions.
Cleveland selected Manziel with the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 draft.
