It's been less than three days since Brandon McCarthy underwent a two-hour surgery on his brain to ease the pressure from a epidural hemorrhage and to stabilize a skull fracture incurred after getting hit in the head by a line drive on Wednesday.
Yet at 1:45 on Saturday morning (or 1:45 on Friday night depending on how you look at it), McCarthy took to Twitter...
"Crazy about this children's tylenol, can't believe they give it to kids." Brandon McCarthy (@BMcCarthy32) September 8, 2012He didn't stop there, however. At 10:24 Saturday morning McCarthy tweeted,
The good news in all of this, is that I set up my fantasy lineups beforehand. So there shall be no excuses at this point. Brandon McCarthy (@BMcCarthy32) September 8, 2012While McCarthy hasn't had the time to respond to the plethora of tweets from worried fans offering their support, he did respond to a tweet from a certain 49ers All-Pro linebacker.@patrickwillis52 thanks buddy, I feel like I just got hit by you. Brandon McCarthy (@BMcCarthy32) September 8, 2012Although McCarthy is still not yet out of the woods, it's great to see he hasn't lost his sense of humor.
