
The 49ers met with former Oregon Ducks and Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly on Thursday regarding the team's vacancy, CSNBayArea.com learned.
Which direction San Francisco goes is up in the air at this point, but it hasn't kept people from weighing in.
One of those people was 49ers tackle Anthony Davis, who is currently away from the team at this time, and missed the 2015 season.

When it was reported that the 49ers met with Kelly, Davis' instant reaction was this:
He later deleted the tweet.
Davis then posted a poll asking the fan base who it thought the 49ers will hire.
He also fielded questions about how he would feel if San Francisco named Kelly the next head coach.
Davis, while away from the 49ers, has continued to hint at a return.

Earlier this season, Davis posted a photo of himself on Instagram in a 49ers home uniform with the message: 'Keep that spot warm for ya boy..'
After Jim Tomsula was relieved of his duties following the season finale, the offensive lineman updated fans, saying it was 'guaranteed' that he would return.
Davis, 26, was a former first-round pick by the 49ers. The team traded up two spots to select the Rutgers product No. 11 overall in 2010.
He started 71 games from 2010-2014.
