49ers will stay in Florida between games against Dolphins, Bears

SANTA CLARA – The 49ers will spend the week in Florida before their Week 13 game against the Chicago Bears.

The 49ers have decided to practice Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 29-Dec. 2, at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, the club announced.

The stay in Florida is designed to cut down on the travel between late-season road games at Miami (Nov. 27) and Chicago (Dec. 4).

Coach Chip Kelly decided on Central Florida because of his ties with the university's first-year football coach Scott Frost, who joined Oregon’s coaching staff in 2009 under Kelly.

As is the case with all of the 49ers' workouts after the second week of the exhibition season, the 49ers’ practices in Orlando will be closed to the public and the media.
