There were 256 players taken, but McFadden was not one of them.
On Tuesday, he signed with the 49ers.

Why wasn't he selected?
"I honestly don't know," McFadden told reporters on Thursday. "My last season I didn't perform as well as I did my sophomore year ... everything happens for a reason, and I'm here now so I'm gonna make the best of my opportunity."
Does he have a chip on his shoulder now?
"Definitely."

Where was McFadden when the draft ended?
"I was at my parents house. I saw things weren't going my way, so I just went home to be by myself a little bit. It was kind of emotional for me."
According to ESPN, McFadden was a Top 50 recruit coming out of high school -- the fifth ranked cornerback in the Class of 2015.
As a sophomore at Florida State, he recorded eight interceptions -- which tied for most in the country and was the second most in single-season school history.
McFadden was a finalist for the Bronco Nagurski Award, given to the best defensive player in the nation.
As a junior, he did take a step back as his top accolade was Second-Team All-ACC.
Perhaps he went undrafted because of his 4.67 and 4.76 40-yard dash times at the NFL Combine.
"I've never actually been ran right by. I've given up some plays but name a corner who hasn't," McFadden said on Thursday. "I honestly don't feel like the 40 should make or break these players in the draft."
