The 49ers’ entire rookie class draft is now officially under contract.
Former Georgia tight end Charlie Woerner, whom the 49ers selected in the sixth round with the No. 190 overall pick, reached the mandatory four-year agreement on Monday after passing a physical in Santa Clara.
The team's rookies, quarterbacks and injured players were required to report Thursday for COVID-19 testing in Santa Clara. The players went through a second round of testing on Sunday, then those with two negative tests were allowed to take physicals on Monday.

The 49ers previously signed their other four draft picks, including first-round selections Javon Kinlaw and Brandon Aiyuk.

Woerner’s deal is a four-year contract worth $3.476 million, including a signing bonus of $181,032.
Woerner joins a group of 49ers tight ends that includes George Kittle, Ross Dwelley, Daniel Helm and undrafted rookie Chase Harrell from Arkansas.

The 49ers did not re-sign Levine Toilolo in the offseason, as he signed with the New York Giants as a free agent. Garrett Celek announced his retirement shortly after the season. Woerner is being envisioned as a blocking specialist and a core special teams player.

“We brought him in here to take the role that we've always had someone have,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said after the 49ers selected Woerner.
Toilolo, Celek and Logan Paulsen filled the role in recent seasons that the 49ers expect Woerner to handle this year. In his four-year college career, Woerner caught just 34 passes for 376 yards and one touchdown.
